Of course there are a lot of threats with your paypal being hacked into. Your bank account, social security, address, everything is out in the open. But Paypal is supposed to be pretty secure so just remember to use passwords that are hard to guess.
I don't even have my PayPal connected to a bank account because I do all my business with it online. It is best to use a very hard to guess password and it is a good idea to change it every once in a while to prevent someone from hacking your account. I really don't worry to much because PayPal is pretty secure.
I have my paypal hooked up to my bank account because I get too much money in my account at times. Paypal has a reputation of closing accounts for "odd behavior." When they do that you end up losing money you had in your account.
I find that to be a bit ridiculous. There are a few times that I have about 500 dollars in my account. I run a small online business and if I lose my profits then I would be irritated.
Why would they close your account though? What do they consider as odd behaviour? I really would hate to get my account closed because I have some money that I have been saving up for a while from working online and it would make me pretty mad if I lost it.
Has anyone here actually had their PayPal account closed before?
I don't think PayPal is easy to hack or get into accounts as long as you use a strong and secure password. PayPal has a lot of security on their site so the chances of being hacked are pretty slim. As long as your password is kept safe you should be ok. I would hate to be hacked. I would lose any money I have in my account and all my personal information could be found there.
I had a scam email sent to me a couple of times regarding my paypal account. I called paypal immediately and was told that it was a scam and they took care of everything. They had me send them my scam email to investigate. Just remember to never use your credit card unless you are on a secure server.
I always get spam email of people trying to get access to my paypal account by making up fake cases against you and asking for your password.
Same here. There's been plenty of instance where I get an email saying that they need my password because for some stupid reason. This is one of the reasons why I stop using paypal. It's not paypal, it's the scammers.
