What exactly is a victim? Is there a victim type? Can anyone be a victim? These are questions I would like to see us discuss here.

I think anyone can be a victim. I don`t think it`s a matter of type or something. Today everyone can be a victim, because there are a lot of criminals.

In my opinion children are victims ,because they're basically very vulnurable. Also most of them are easily tricked and they are often deceived. That's why most kids should be taught some basics - like never to talk to strangers.

Any one who is a living breathing entity can be a victim. No one is invisible to crime.

That same body builder can also still be a victim. It says only that anyone who is a living breathing entity can be a victim. He may not be a victim of mugging but a victim of some other form of crime.
Being physically fit and well-built is not a guarantee that you will not be victimized.

I see your point - they can be a victim of another form of crime. But being physically fit may guarantee you that some muggers won't dare attack you.

Lest anyone think that body builders can't be victims of physical violence, just look at several of Dahmer's victims - who were exceptionally physically fit. Body builders might not get jumped by a lone rapist in an alley, but they succumb to bullets like the rest of us, drink alcohol and can get drugs slipped to them, etc. So agreeing with previous posters, yes, ANYONE can be the victim of a crime.

If anything, I would have to refer back to something I mentioned on another thread. I think a victim is generally someone not aware and thus able to be taken advantage of. "lack of awareness" however is a really broad description though, I admit

For me victim is related to a person or an animal who suffer destructive actions or injuries. Yeah there are different types of victim, like autmobile accident victim, rape victim and more.

There are so many things we can fall victim to, so really anyone can be a victim. In the case of the body builder, his size will not stop him becoming a victim of cyber crime, or of identity theft.

Thank you for sharing your story with us. It must have taken a lot of courage to walk in that parade.... it was likely a pivotal point in your life as well. Take care.

A victim is someone who is being violated. Their personal rights are being taken and used against them. That is what I concern to be a victim.

Of course, anyone can be a victim, but I think the most vulnerable, obviously, are children and the elderly....the defenseless. Women also...especially the ones with young children in tow who are occupied with them and don't notice the ones that are stalking them.
