Hey hey,

I'm new to this place and after reading some previous posts I thought I would introduce myself. My friends call me Lizard (I bet you can guess my name...lol) and I'm just looking to connect with others with a past like mine. It's nice to have a support system, but unfortunately mine just don't relate well. When I need an emotional hug I usually turn to music. Songs that are comforting and empowering are a tremendous help. Is anyone familiar with "Only Women Bleed" by Alice Cooper? A jazzy-bluesy singer named Wensday is releasing her version of it. She is a wonderful singer and I love the song! Do you turn to music? What artists and songs? In case you might wanna check out Wensday, her site is http://www.wensdaymusic.com/.

I'm looking forward to chatting with you!

Lizard

Boy don't you just love the little nicknames our friends and families give us while growing up?

When you say "...mine just don't relate well.", are you referring to your support system or to your particular story?

One thing I have found out, is that regardless of how far fetched you think your particular situation is, this is generally several other people who have been through the exact situation and can relate.

Though this website is new, it appears to have very sincere members who are more than willing to offer advice on a wide range of topics. You might want to give it a try before giving up hope.

I love listening to music, I listen to loud music to drown myself. Along my life I have discovered that this world is rotten and that verry few thing can make you even for a moment forget about it and I found out that music is a good way.

Music helps all.
I work more than 15 hours each day in computer and music is only one thing with me beside my work. I think I have no life without music.
I love loud music, I love punk music.

Music has been prove time and time again as a good way to relieve stress, emotions and anxiety. So, find some good music, your favorite band o song and turn it up loud, and it will help with coping.

Music has been my salvation for 18 years. It has allowed me to feel all of those emotions that I have buried safely!

I like to put on anything and just drive to where ever. Driving is an outlet. I am safe, I am alone and I am lost not only on the road but in the music itself!

I like tequila and wine. Better mellow without music than music without mellow. \:\)

Unwarranted fear is a curse.
