Is it just me, or does it seem like teen fighting videos on websites like YouTube becoming more and more prevalent.

It seems like you can't get on YouTube now days without coming across a video showing a couple of teenagers duking it out on camera. Many are fights that have been planned specifically for the purpose of creating the video just to post online. Others you can tell are adolescents who have sought out an innocent victims and beaten the hell out of them just to make themselves look tough.

I mean, what the heck or kids thinking now days? Do they not realize that this is a crime called Assault? And to make matters even worse, they are video taping the crime and posting it on the internet. Me personally, if I came across a video of some thugs beating my child up just to make themselves look good, you will see me in court.

Maybe going in court would be going a bit too far \:\) But I completely agree with you - things have gone so far. It's just a way of being "cool" ,but this violence also affects the behaviour of the next generation. What will these kids turn into? I don't even want to think about it \:\(

I think people get more and more ideas like this, they just want to be on the internet, get a few laughs, and think they are popular.

I tend to agree with EasyDoesIt on this one. If several adults were to grab a video camera and go pick a fight with another adult for the sole purpose of taping the incident to display on YouTube, the legal reprocutions would be severe. I don't think that just because the individuals are under the age of 18 they should be allowed to exibit this form of behaviour.

I don't ever watch these videos or stumble across them because I have a real repulsion towards violence. But, I do knwo the videos you are talking about because there wa s a tv article done on the news the other day.

I think it's sick. The only reason it's popular, is because ppl watch it, and I guess that's the saddest part, that ppl find this entertaining.

It goes back to the age old question of human nature. It is human nature to enjoy violence. Look at ancient Rome, the gladiatorial fights were the heavyweight boxing matches of the day. These teens are just perpetuating the so called sport. Stopping it is probably never going to happen. Do I think it's sick? You bet I do. I just think your going to have a difficult time stopping it, as long as there are people willing to fight each other, victimize those who cannot fight back, or watch the resulting violence.

It really is sad to see all the unjust fights in our society today. I think we should try to create a socialist utopian society, that would solve all of our problems
