Patricia, Karate it`s a great sport, which is system of self defence and physical culture and it`s one of my favourite sports. Why did you stop practicing it?

My dad got a job in another town and we have to move there. Karate is missing me and I think I should start practicing again, but know I`m working and I don`t have much free time.

Patricia, I know how hard is to put an end of a favourite sport, because of moving. I had to give-up wrestling and move to another city with my family. I felt king of sad. But fortunately I found a new club in the new city. Good luck!

I as a woman, have taken self defense class as well as gun classes. I don't really like the fact that Im a single woman so I decided to make sure that I was safe.

Personally I started training tai chi about a month ago and I'm pretty happy with it . It's a good work out and it can help you in self defense as well.

I am going to start boxing or karate, I took a few courses of each and they both seem like something good to get into, nobody will mess with you anymore

Don't get the boxers syndrome though :P When people start boxing (ussualy after the 2nd or 3rd practice ) they start to think of themselves as boxers and that nobody can harm them. But like all sports it takes years to reach a decent level ,so don't decieve yourself and just start training harder

3 years jujitsu was sufficient for me. I loved the sport and had to stop for health reasons but it has been enough to stop me getting raped 4 times already.

generally, you need a lot of "live training time sparring in order to make any system effective

Confidence can also change how you defend yourself completely. If you walk around thinking, if someone wants some of me, I can kick their butt, you will be more successful in defending yourself. I have learned this from personal experience
